Kimberley Van Vliet

WaVv and ConvergX
Founder and CEO

Seventeen years ago, Kimberley established WaVv, a company that forms part of a distinctive group of organizations that expedite innovative cross-industry solutions worldwide. WaVv has a diverse range of industries in its focus, including Aerospace, Defence, & Security, Space, Energy, Tech, Ag, Military, and Mining, with newer sectors added every year.

Kimberley is also the mastermind behind CONVERGX®, the world’s first and only two-day global congress that brings together decision-makers from the aforementioned industries. This event provides exclusive access to a unique peer network of pre-vetted, qualified leaders who are enthusiastic about collaborating with you on business opportunities over the next 12-18 months. To date, there is close to $2 billion in deals tracked as a result of the congress. At CONVERGX®, you’ll be able to identify and tackle challenges you didn’t previously know existed, with solutions from industries you never thought could help.

Kimberley’s appointment to the Canadian Delegation of the NATO Industrial Advisory Group (NIAG) six years ago serves as a testament to her expertise. Currently, she is also the Deputy Chair for the Community of Interest for NIAG-Allied Command Transformation Unit (ACT), where she oversees Innovation, C4ISR, MDO, and DT, Logistics and Sustainment. Kimberley also collaborates closely with other NATO divisions, including NCIA, NSPA, STO, APSS, and DIANA. Most recently she has been named Director of the Aerospace Innovation Hub in Calgary, and now part of the leadership team for the new NATO SpaceNet division.

Kimberley’s efforts have awarded her as one of the Top 20 women in Defence in Canada by Esprit de Corps Magazine, and most recently a delegate of the Governor General’s Canadian Leadership Conference (#GGCLC) for 2022.

Kimberley is the proud Mum of a 11yr old boy, holds her private pilot’s license, and is a Divemaster Scuba Diver.
